Larry Buckley, Member of Advisory Board

As a founder of DataOceans, Larry is responsible for managing the vision and overall strategic direction of the company. Prior to founding DataOceans, Larry founded Technology Investments and co-founded ThreeRiversGroup, SourceWorks, and ECWerks.

He has over 25 years of experience in the industry during which time he has held a number of board positions with various companies. Larry graduated Cum Laude from the University of Notre Dame with a degree in Economics and Computer Applications. He began his career with IBM where he spent 10 years in Sales and Marketing. In his spare time, he enjoys swimming and spending time with his family.

Atul Garg, Member of the Advisory Board

As an executive business leader with proven success in identifying core business issues, designing and executing viable solutions for growth and P&L enhancement, Atul is bringing his extensive experience in global organizations and start-up entrepreneurial environments to Global Legal. Atul served as Executive consultant and Senior Vice President of FLEETCOR in Atlanta, GA. While there he developed:

  • Organic growth strategies across all business lines and grow revenue by 15% and PBT by 30% for one of the business lines without any additional capital investment.
  • A customer segmentation model and identified profitability across different product lines, created acquisition and account management strategies focusing on profitable segments and products to drive sustained growth.
  • Led design and launch of several new products to offer distinct value propositions to new customer segments.
  • Designed an integrated sales and marketing strategy and plan, and redesigned the sales organization structure.
  • Led due diligence effort on one of the business units of an acquisition target

Prior to FLEETCOR, Atul was with HSBC as a Senior Vice President, eBusiness in Chicago, IL managing all aspects of the Internet channel for US Cards business (7th largest card issuer with 36 million active customers) and a team of 55 professionals across five cities.

John E. Hall, Member of Advisory Board

John E. Hall, Jr., is one of the founding partners of Hall, Booth, Smith, P.C. He is dedicated to making the firm the finest litigation firm in the Southeast. John Hall specializes in the defense of high exposure cases, including medical malpractice, construction, commercial litigation, mass torts, transportation, and products liability.

During his legal career, he has tried in excess of 100 cases to resolution. His expertise in high exposure birth trauma and catastrophic cases resulted in his being named National Counsel for several major insurance carriers throughout the Southeastern United States. This National Counsel Program establishes a litigation approach, which enables a team of specialized attorneys to become involved and assist local counsel on high exposure cases at all phases of the legal process. John Hall also maintains a corporate practice in International, International Trade and finance, Arbitration/Mediation, Business Structures, Healthcare, and Commercial, Litigation.

John Hall is actively involved in a number of professional organizations and speaks at a number of continuing legal education programs. In addition, he is closely involved in developing and providing educational materials to clients. Mr. Hall currently serves as an Honorary Consul to the Country of Georgia and as Chairman of the Atlanta-Tbilisi Sister City Committee where he actively engages in developing international relationships between the state of Georgia and the country of Georgia.

Mr. Hall has received several awards including: Super Lawyer for years 2005 through 2012, Insurance Man of the Year, and listed in The Best Lawyers in America for 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2013. He is also peer rated AV with Martindale Hubbell.


Richard P. Magrath, President – As a Founding Partner of Global Legal Partners, Mr. Magrath and his team are helping their clients and strategic partners take a strategically innovative approach to growing their businesses by combining the best elements of robust and mature organizations with an entrepreneurial spirit, in new and challenging ways.

Prior to Global Legal, Mr. Magrath served as Global Director of USLAW Network, an organization composed of over 65 independent, defense-based law firms with 6,000 attorneys covering North America, Latin America, Europe and Asia. In his role as Global Director, Mr. Magrath was responsible for creating and cultivating strategic relationships and directing innovative strategic initiatives. One example of the initiatives are the Lloyd’s “Boot Camps” for and Casualty Claims Challenge – an experiential seminar entirely focused on engaging participants in a real-world, high-level claims handling scenario to resolve a complicated, multi-jurisdictional and evolving claim.

The foundation of his expertise in the global financial services industry was built over 20 years helping market leading risk management firms, Johnson & Higgins and Marsh, to grow their global presence by better serving their customers throughout North America, Latin America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East. Mr. Magrath’s clients included several Fortune 500 companies such as 3M, Cargill, ConAgra, and UPS. As a Partner in PilotHSA, a leading Health Savings Account technology, administration and services provider, he helped lead their sales and marketing efforts with some of the world's largest banks, insurance companies, TPAs, and strategic partners. As a co-founder, President and leader of ProNvest and Signix he was instrumental in "changing the Game" by creating the distribution partnerships required to build the company from a startup to an industry leader in less than five years, raising capital and guiding the company to and through acquisition by SunGard.

Scott Harward, Member of the Advisory Board

Scott Harward, Partner – Scott has held a variety of executive positions in technology companies ranging in size from start ups to Fortune 100. He is President of PilotHSA, a leading provider of health savings account (HSA) solutions. Scott is both a thought leader and speaker in the consumer directed health care community.

Prior to joining PilotHSA, Scott has led sales, professional services, business development and operational teams at firms such as Dun & Bradstreet, Control Data, Westcorp, Brock, and Firstlogic.

Scott has provided sales consulting services through to firms seeking to improve their sales systems. Scott lives in Marietta, Georgia with his family, and is a graduate of Duke University and holds an MBA from Stetson University.

Darryl Coleman, Member of the Advisory Board

Darryl Coleman, Partner - President, Coleman Search Group, Inc., a national executive recruiting firm serving the property casualty insurance industry, Mr. Coleman Has spent more than 22 years in the insurance and recruiting arenas. Prior to establishing CSG, Inc., he was a senior partner with the Burkholder Group Inc., an executive recruiting firm specializing in national talent search for the property casualty insurance space.

Mr. Coleman began his insurance career with Aetna Life and Casualty and was subsequently promoted to increasingly responsible managerial and executive roles with five national property and casualty insurance companies. His past leadership posts include branch claim manager for USF&G Insurance Company, assistant vice president for Safeco Insurance Company’s customer service division, vice president of the commercial claim division for the St. Paul insurance company, regional president of St. Paul’s upper Midwest underwriting division and senior vice president of claims for CNA Insurance.

Mike McCracken, Member of the Advisory Board

Mike McCracken, Member of Advisory Board - Chairman and CEO, McCracken Alliance, LLC a “serial entrepreneur” having founded many companies throughout his career including an internet services provider which sold in the late 90’s for several million dollars, and Tatum LLC, which became the first National Professional CFO Firm with annual sales of $200 million, and in 2010, merged with a $2.0 billion NYSE registrant.

As one of the founders of Tatum, Mr. McCracken served as the firm’s first President and member of the three-man Executive Committee, and is credited with building the national footprint of the CFO operations to more than 400 professionals in 30 cities nationwide. He served for many years as the leader of the Financial Leadership practice and on the Management Committee and Board of Directors. In 2010, Mr. McCracken launched McCracken Alliance, LLC (MA) focused on building business and leadership networks that foster peer-to-peer relationships, provide leverage through knowledge sharing and facilitate access to innovative value added business solutions.

MA has three divisions including McCracken Alliance Leadership Networks specializing in building and operating leadership networks by teaming with organizations and sponsors such as Georgia State University, Northwestern University, Kellogg School of Management, Rollins College, Ernst & Young, etc. Previously, Mr. McCracken spent 20 years with Ernst & Young, one of the world's largest professional services firms in local, regional, national, and international roles including working for EYI's Chairman and CEO in leading the development of a global intelligence network among the top 200 clients served by the firm.
